B and W offers a king pin adapter designed to fit their Turnoverball hitches like the part # BWGNRK1108 that you referenced. For that you'd want the part # BWGNXA4000. You should note that this is for inverted fifth wheel setups and not standard fifth wheel towing.

Why not use a fifth wheel hitch? You have a set of fifth wheel rails installed in the bed of the truck and since typically adapters like the part # AM3100 void the warranty of the trailer they are installed on this would not be an ideal solution for you. That being said this adapter has a height range of 11-3/4 inches to 14-3/4 inches when measured from the top of the ball to the king pin plate. Since you measured to the bottom of the ball you would need to remeasure.

First, I recommend making sure that your pin box is a Lippert 1116. There should be sticker or label on your pin box with the manufacturer's name and model number. If you cannot find this information on your pin box, you will want to measure your pin box to ensure we find you the correct replacement or you can contact your trailer dealer with your VIN to obtain that information. I would love to sell you a king pin but once you remove the gooseneck to fifth wheel adapter you have now, there will more than likely already be a kin pin installed underneath unless it was cut off which I doubt was the case. Please remove the adapter and let me know what you find. How to reduce or eliminate the rattle or chucking as it's called will depend on your set-up. What hitch are you using, a fifth wheel hitch that holds onto the king pin at the front of the trailer or a gooseneck hitch that uses a trailer ball in the floor of the truck bed?

The install location of a fifth wheel trailer is based on the rear axle of the truck and not the rear tailgate. The king pin needs to be centered or slightly forward of the rear axle to properly distribute the weight of the trailer.
Having it too far forward will interfere with the cab of the truck and too far back will unload the front axle to the point of making braking and handling dangerous.
